PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 Metal Deck: <br />A. Steel roof deck shall be primed, painted metal decking. Deck shall conform to <br />ASTM:A611 Grade C, or equal, having a minimum yield strength of 33,000 psi to <br />match existing. <br />B. Steel roof deck shall be as manufactured by U.S. Steel, Vulcraft, Wheeling, or <br />approved equal. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 Installation: <br />A. Metal Deck <br />1. Steel roof deck shall be anchored to the structural members directly <br />through bottom of the rib by using self -drilling screws. <br />2. Fasteners shall be a maximum 12" o. c. at ends and intermediate supports <br />of each deck sheet. <br />3. For spans greater than 5 feet, side laps shall be fastened together not <br />exceeding 3 feet center to center between supports. <br />4. Ensure that fasteners do not penetrate conduit or miscellaneous piping <br />located at bottom of the decking. <br />5. Place deck in straight alignment for entire length of run with adjoining <br />deck units. <br />6. Place deck units flat and square, secured to adjacent framing without warp <br />or excessive deflection. <br />7. Cut and neatly fit deck around rooftop projections. <br />3.02 Verification: <br />A. Upon completion of the installation in each area, visually inspect and verify that <br />all components are complete and properly installed.
