Public Utilities The site is served by a 16” ductile iron watermain and 12” sanitary sewer line located along CSAH 34/Birch Street which can accommodate the demands of the proposed school addition. Landscaping and Tree Preservation Plan The school was built in 1992 prior to the regulations of the current landscape ordinance. Existing landscaping consists of grass, trees and landscaped rain gardens. The new addition will match existing landscaping conditions and additional canopy cover, foundation landscaping and open area landscaping will not be required. Seven trees will be removed and two existing trees have already been relocated on site. Grass will be planted between the addition and sidewalk similar to existing building. Rain gardens will be planted with appropriate materials and landscaping. Seven replacement trees are required and shall be shown on the landscape plan. Irrigation is required for all grass and landscaped areas. Architectural Plans and Exterior Building Materials The addition meets the building type and construction for institutional facilities. Exterior materials include varying earth tone brick colors, prefinished aluminum coping and decorative glazed block, all similar to the existing building. Signage Any new monument or wall signage shall require a separate sign permit application.
