Memo Page 2 April 24, 2009 <br />Lake Elmo Transportation Plan <br />City Council Comments Incorporated <br />• The Trail section has been revised to include discussion of destinations and an emphasis <br />on school safety. <br />• An implementation statement has been added insupport of the four major focus areas: <br />Education, Enforcement, Engineering, and Emergency Medical Services. Safety around <br />schools is specifically mentioned. <br />The City is supportive of the €our major focus areas in pursuit of safety <br />improvements: Education, Enforcement, Engineering, and Emergency Medical <br />Services. Combination of these focus areas result in better solutions to targeted or <br />general safety issues. Of particular concern are the areas around schools and <br />keeping students safe. Applying these major foe -as areas towards the school areas <br />is encouraged and expected. <br />
