327 Focus needs the be on the entry points to lake elmo. There is nothing to draw people into
the Village area. An "if you build it they will come" approach will not work.
330 Keep up the good work! Make it a cute downtown and Lake Elmo will do very well.
336 In order to attract people downtown, the area needs to have food/attractions for everyday
of the week. Not just partial hours on certain days. Downtown is dead on certain days of
the week.
342 Whatever the use, I would like to see it keep the aesthetic of the down town area. I
would like any landscaping to incorporate native plants and non-invasive decorative
plants.
343 I want to see Lake Elmo stay small town feel. No drive through places or anything like
that. No large apartments. I am worried about school sizes at this point. I would love to
see small business owners. I hate the idea of Lake Elmo losing its small town feel.
353 Please include us long time residents that live in the Old Village in this process.
358 Please please let's redevelop it to keep the small town charm but bring some life to the
community!! Restaurants, walking paths- woo!
360 Keep the small town feel!!!!
365 If roads are narrow we need parking space for guests. A dog park would be nice.
369 No
371 There are currently many businesses that don't really draw foot traffic, like insurance
agencies, architects, etc on Lake Elmo Ave. It would be great to have businesses that we
could patronize at least weekly or monthly. I also would love to see a community center
built where the current LE Elementary is.
378 Do your best to keep the small town feel
379 If there were more businesses in the area, residents would spend more money here to
support instead of going to another area to spend money
399 Someone is going to get hit aling Lake Elmo Ave thru downtown and along the Lake
Elmo Parkway if speeds are not reduced. This is very important!
407 The Met Council should have ZERO say in housing in Lake Elmo. I notice that they all live
in Minnetonka, Wayzata, Excelsior and havent pushed for greater housing density in their
own communities.
409 Be careful what you wish for. Downtown is pretty awesome already.
410 Keep it a village. Resist overbuilding
ResponseID Response
