541 Let businesses go in as they want. IF the people want them, they will succeed. If not, they
will fail. That's how the development should be done.
542 Please do something quick, area has great potential but is held back by a bunch of old
businesses that aren't attractive to the new people moving into the area.
549 I love it here. It is very livable, but making it easier to get around on foot and bike will tie
it all together so much better. We tend to go out to Stillwater when we go out… it would
be great if we could get businesses to build up here to keep folks like me here more
frequently
557 We have an absolute gem in Lake Elmo – let's make it one of the most charming,
amazing small towns in America!
565 I think there is a lot of opportunity there, but more housing and businesses are needed.
Specifically dining, something similar to downtown Stillwater would be great
569 Attract more unique retail and food options, improve parking and walkability
570 We need to stop building new homes until we get our water problems fixed. We need to
be able to supply good drinking water to the people who already live here, and take care
of the recently built well that we can't even use. It doesn't make sense to just keep
building huge new homes when we can't take care of the people who already live here..
571 Think SMALL town, charm, inviting, unique, functional! NOT high rises and density! NOT
"oh, the village is fine the way it is. ". Plan to hold historic structures. Go back to the
comprehensive plan that was picky on building materials and designs. Go visit
Charleston SC I'd love to head into my cute town w my friends instead of driving to
towns in the area when we are gathering but we'd be done in short order in LE, not
enough to see do or visit. Go walk downtown White Bear Lake. HOLD ONTO the bit we
have, Don't tear down anymore historical structures and buildings. Do Take down Fury
Motors and put in a Village Green!
573 That huge field behind Hagbergs should be like HealthEast Sports field in Woodbury.
There are so many families over here that drive all over to get to sport stuff. And
between Stillwater and Lake Elmo there's no where near enough facilities.
581 We live down by the roundabout. I have been waiting to see some nice trails go in on
HWY 14 to connect outer Lake Elmo to the downtown area. It would be so nice to walk
or bike to the town area!
584 Na
586 Not excited for Lake Elmo to be built up. I like the small town feel and it feeling like it's
the country.
587 The more we make this area safely walkable, the less need for parking. Those of us that
live in the area could walk to the post office, coffee, shops and not have to drive.
ResponseID Response
