to facilitate community engagement, including the development and distribution of a survey or other outreach <br />methods to gather public input, perspectives, and priorities for the park’s future. <br />The consultant will be asked to prepare two alternative plans that reflect community feedback <br />and identified needs. These concepts will be presented at a community engagement event <br />to solicit additional input and discussion. Feedback gathered during this event will be incorporated into a <br />final preferred concept plan, which will then be presented to the Parks Commission and City Council for review <br />and consideration. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Cost of the Master Plan for Lions Park is estimated at $15,000. Cost for the master plan would be taken from the <br />funds planed for in the Parks 2026 Public Works Budget. <br />OPTIONS: <br />Approve and post the scope and seek a consultant for the master plan as presented. <br />Amend the scope and seek a contractor for the master plan. <br />Approve the scope and wait until completion of the 76 acre parcel proposal. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the following motion: <br />“Move approve the outlined scope and RFQ and seek a consultant for the Lions Park Master Plan.” <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Draft – Lions Park Master RFQ
