Ordinance 06-015 <br />Council; 6-16-09 <br />(D) Computations. <br />(1) Sign Area Measurement. <br />The area of a sign shall be computed by <br />means of the smallest circle, rectangle or <br />triangle that will encompass the extreme <br />limits of the writing, representation, <br />emblem, or other display, together with any <br />material or color forming an integral part of <br />the background of the display or used to <br />differentiate the sign from the building <br />facade against which it is placed. When a <br />sign has two back-to-back sign faces <br />containing sign copy, the sign area for both <br />faces are counted toward the total allowed <br />sign area.
