SHORT TITLE <br />This ordinance shall be known and cited as the "Cable Communications Franchise <br />Ordinance", hereinafter in this document referred to as "Ordinance". <br />ARTICLE 3. DEFINITIONS <br />For the purpose of this Ordinance, the following terms, phrases, words and their <br />derivations shall have the meaning given herein. When not inconsistent with the context, <br />words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the <br />singular number and words in the singular number include the plural number. The words <br />"shall" and "will" are mandatory and "may" is permissive. Words not defined shall be given <br />their common and ordinary meaning. <br />3.01 "Channel" shall mean a six Megahertz (MHz) frequency band, which is capable 0 <br />of carrying either one standard video signal, a number of audio, digital or other non video <br />signals, or some combination of such signals. <br />3.02 "Class IV Cable Communications Channel" means a signaling path provided <br />by System to transmit signals of any type from a subscriber terminal to another point in the <br />System. <br />3.03 "Community Access Corporation" shall mean the non-profit, public corporation <br />whose duties may include the financing, management and programming of the community <br />access and public access channels. <br />3 <br />
