Making the driving lanes narrower — as proposed by the project — will <br />help slow down traffic some. <br />Consensus of the Council to direct Staff to work with Washington County Sheriff <br />department and to also use speed trailers to monitor the speed on 47a' Street due to the <br />concerns citizens addressed with this stretch of road becoming a race track. <br />M/S/P Johnston/Smith — to return to the July 18, 2006, Council meeting for further <br />discussion of Resolution No. 2006-064, ordering improvement for 2006 MSA <br />Resurfacing on 45"' Street, Julep Avenue, and 47t' Street. (Motion passed 4-0) <br />C. Easement for Northern Watermain: <br />City Engineer Prew informed the Council that they are waiting for appraisals of <br />easements. <br />D. Approve Plans for Eagle Point Boulevard —Resolution No. 2006-064: <br />City Engineer Prew recommended adoption of Resolution No. 2006-064, approving Plans <br />and Specifications for Eagle Point Boulevard, south of Hudson Blvd. <br />M/S/P Johnson/Smith — to approve Resolution No. 2006-064, approving Plans and <br />Specifications for Eagle Point Boulevard. (Motion passed 4-0) <br />F. Water Tower Proiect: Verbal Update <br />The City Planner informed Council that CB & I Constructors, Inc. informed the City <br />about the water tower being out-of-specification/out-of-tolerance by 4 inches. CB & I <br />has proposed a remedy and solution. <br />The City Engineer recommended hiring an independent national consultant, Tank <br />Industry Consultants, to evaluate the proposals for correction of the deviation. All costs <br />will be covered by CB & I, Inc., including TKDA. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Johnston — to authorize City Engineer Prew to pursue a contract with <br />Tank Industry Consultants in an estimated amount of $13,000.00, and recover costs by <br />charging CB & I. (Motion passed 4-0) <br />9_ PLANNING, LAND USE & ZONING: <br />A.
