Edina city hall at night, 2005. <br />sions about housing in Edina and gather community feedback to com- <br />plete Task Force research. <br />We hope to engage the community In a variety of ways, possibly work- <br />ing with others to: <br />• Sponsor community forums and roundtables; <br />• Host a community leaders breakfast; <br />• Provide guest speakers at organizations' scheduled meetings; <br />• Collaborate with existing community events ; <br />• Publish and establish web site links for our report and PowerPoint <br />presentations; and <br />• Encourage the City Council to hold public hearings, perhaps jointly <br />with the School Board. <br />2. Design and Implement The Housing Strategies. Once the <br />Task Force has received community feedback, teams will be assembled <br />from the Task Force as well as the broader community. The teams will <br />be charged with further: 1) designing the details of the housing strate- <br />gies; 2) determining the specific features of the program or policy; 3) <br />Identifying who should be responsible and Involved with implementation; <br />4) outlining how much It will cost, potential sources of funding, and time <br />lines; 5) creating processes for community involvement and education; <br />and 6) garnering political support and approvals. <br />A component of this phase should be adoption of the final report by the <br />
