4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. YX Update: Cynthia Young <br />Cynthia Young, Y2K Coordinator, gave a brief summary of the City's Y2K efforts and success. She <br />thanked the Lake Elmo staff members who contributed to this effort, Brad Winkels for coordinating the <br />Lake Elmo Fire Department Year 2000 procedures, Maintenance Supervisor Dan Olinger for preparing the <br />Public Works contingency plan, and Washington County staff for preparing and organizing preparedness <br />plans. She would continue to monitor the City systems and the well -organized contingency plan. <br />B. Resignation of Steve Foley from VBWD <br />The City has been advised by Washington County that Steve Foley (Baytown) has resigned from the Valley <br />Branch Watershed District's Board of Managers effective as soon as a replacement can be appointed by the <br />Washington County Board. If anyone is interested in applying for this position, forms are available at City <br />Hall. <br />C. Resol adopting Resol. No. 11-18-99-01 Ramsey/Washington opposition to SF2133 and HF2137: <br />Postponed <br />D. Appointment of Wyn John to the Village Commission <br />The Council received a copy of the e-mail from Wyn John requesting to serve as a member of the Village <br />Commission. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to appoint Wyn John to serve on the Village Commission as a full voting <br />member. (The staggering of terms decided by the Village Commission.) (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />E. Warming House Attendant <br />Michael Campbell, 6474 40`" St. N., Oakdale, submitted an application for rink attendant as advertised, <br />interviewed and recommended to hire by Park Supervisor, Mike Bouthilet. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong - to hire Michael Campbell, 6474 40" St. N., Oakdale, MN as rink supervisor <br />per recommendation of Mike Bouthilet, Parks Supervisor. (Motion passed 4-0.) <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />A. Sand Creek Group Contract <br />The Employee Assistance Program through the Sand Creek Group has been provided for full-time <br />employees for several years. The cost of this service, $750.00 per year or $75 per year per employee, has <br />not increased since the program started. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to approve the Employee Assistance Program Contract with The Sand Creek <br />Group at a cost of $750, with the term of the contract being from February 15, 2000 to February 14, 2001 <br />(Motion passed 4-0). <br />6. MAINTENANCE/PARK/FIRE/BUILDING: <br />The City Administrator has invited each Dept. Head to come in monthly to report what is going on in their <br />department and to address questions. <br />Dan Olinger, Maintenance Supervisor, reported the Maintenance Garage received a new heating system <br />and would be getting an estimate for light replacement for the Maintenance Garage and City Hall. <br />7.
