A. Software License Agreement to renew Quick Access
David Brandt, Washington County G1S Support Unit, requested the City to renew its Quick Access license
at Washington County. The City has had an agreement since 1997, and the annual cost of $900 for
monthly parcel data updates has not changed.
M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn — to approve the Software License Agreement, which serves to renew the Quick
Access license at Washington County, and authorize the City Administrator to sign the said agreement.
(Motion passed 5-0).
B. Reimbursement for cell phone Fire Chief
Following the fire on Keats Avenue, the Fire Chief reported that he had put a substantial amount of time on
his personal cell phone. He asked if the City would consider paying him for the use of his phone. The
Finance Director did not feel it is necessary, as there is a cell phone on a truck or vehicle at each station.
The Fire Chief has purchased digital pagers for himself and the two Assistant Chiefs. These are in addition
to the regular fire department pagers they have. The fire vehicles are also equipped with radios, so
communication, be it requesting mutual aid, etc., should not be a problem.
The Council suggested there be a policy for reimbursement of calls to City employees on Fire Dept/City
business calls on personal cell phones and asked that the Administrator contact the Finance Director to see
if this would fit within the budget and to keep track of expenses.
M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to direct the City Administrator to draft a policy for reimbursement of City
business calls to City/Fire Dept. employees on their personal cell phones and bring back to the Council.
(Motion passed 5-0).
B. (Motion passed 5-0.)
7. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT:
A. Parkview Estates Escrow Reduction
Tom Prew reported that this item was pulled off the agenda because of a question a resident had as to why
the trails were not wood chip surfaced as they bad been told. When this development was being
constructed, the former planner approved a request by the developer to upgrade the trail from woodchips to
gravel. During the two years of development activity, the gravel has become weeded over. The developer
did spray the weeds last fall. Prew recommended approval to release all remaining escrow pending the
developer's payment or final city costs.
M/S/P Dunn/Siedow — to approve the release of all escrow for Parkview Estates pending the developer's
payment of all final City costs.
