6. CONSENT AGENDA <br />7. MAINTENANCE/PARK/BUILDING: <br />A. Update on Maintenance Dept. Activities.:Dan Olinger <br />Dan Olinger reported that the crew is 95% done cleaning storm damage. <br />The crew can get back to their June work, because the storm cleanup took <br />time away from the normal work plan. The crew had planned on working on <br />the gravel shoulders and right-of-way trimming before it snows. Dan didn't <br />know how he was going to get a tub grinder into the site to chip the <br />mountain of brush. <br />Council member Dunn asked the crew to follow up on installing temporary <br />"Children at Play" signs for parade of homes in the new developments. <br />B. Lions Play Set -Mike Bouthilet <br />Parks Commissioner David Pletscher gave a brief description of the playset <br />proposal by Miracle Recreation Equipment Co., which the Parks <br />Commission reviewed at its September 18 meeting. Parks Supervisor Mike <br />Bouthilet stated he would like to get the equipment in this fall rather than <br />sprmg. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn — to approve the new playground equipment (Option <br />1B w/Hang Around) for Lions Park in the amount of $26,105, MN Sales Tax <br />$1,696.83, Delivery charges $2,490 from Miracle Recreation of Minnesota, <br />Inc as recommended by the Parks Commission. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />C. Update on Fire Dept. activities: Greg Malmquist <br />Fire Chief Greg Mamlquist gave an update on Fire Dept. activities. Fire <br />Prevention Night will be held October 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oakland Jr. <br />High School. <br />D. Update on Building Activities: Jim McNamara <br />Jim McNamara reported the total building fees collected for August was <br />$44,428.72.
