The road will be
a 22' wide blacktop street with 2' shoulders and 7 median islands, which
have I V driving lanes to get around the islands.
Reid Gilbertson stated the plans do not address goals the people of 501h St.
have, such as, the aesthetic need for rural character, and not a relief valve for
Highway 36.
Rebecca Tenpas asked for a cul-de-sac road to create safety and give them a
rural atmosphere.
Richard Day was against the cul-de-sac because he drives farm equipment
from Goetschel property to his property and asked that the City not take
away the convenience of a through street and deny the people access from
CSA17.
Council member Siedow indicated the City should not make dead end roads,
and 50th Street should stay a through road.
LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 19, 2000
