B. Planner's Attendance at Annual Planning Conference <br />City Planner Dillerud requested authorization to attend the Annual Planning <br />Seminar in New Orleans from March 10-14. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Siedow — to authorize the City Planner to attend the Annual <br />Planning Conference from March 10-14 to be held in New Orleans at the <br />approximate cost of $2100. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />7. MAINTENANCE/PARK/FIREBUILDING: <br />A. Update on Maintenance Dept. Activities Dan Olinger <br />Administrator Kueffner asked the Council to consider directing the staff to <br />advertise for subcontractors that will assist with snowplowing and sanding, <br />if the need arises. Staff does not know the burden the new streets will put on <br />the maintenance staff, so thought it premature to consider hiring someone <br />full-time to assist in this effort until the needs are more readily defined. This <br />contract work was not specifically in the budget. <br />M/S/P Dunn/DeLapp — to direct staff to proceed with advertising for <br />subcontractors (or individuals) that will assist with snowplowing and <br />sanding, if the need arises. (Motion passed 5-0. <br />B. Recognition of Troy Bonim as Firefighter I as Badge #69. Received <br />$16,000 for reimbursement fire dept service from the Carlos Avery fire <br />and will be <br />Fire Chief Greg Mamlquist congratulated Troy Bonim, as Firefigther I, with <br />badge 469. <br />The Fire Dept. received a $16,000 check from the State for reimbursement <br />for its services in fighting the Carlos Avery fire and recommended this <br />money be placed in the Fire Department's Building Fund. <br />M/S/P Dunn/DeLapp - based on recommendation from staff, the $16,000 <br />received for reimbursement for Fire Dept. services, placed in the Fire Dept. <br />Building Fund.
