Staff recommended that the park dedication <br />fee be based on the appraisal's recommendation of $15,000 per acre. <br />Mark Vargo, representing Rehbein Co, reiterated what their appraiser, Mr. <br />Dahlen, stated at the last Council meeting land value of $13,500 per acre. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Dunn — to accept the appraisal of Scott Renne for <br />Wildflowers Shore with the land value of $15,000 per acre. (Motion passed <br />5-0). <br />B. Update on Meeting with Washington County Board of Commissioners <br />The City did not dispute the traffic at the intersection of County Road 13/10 <br />needs controlling, but proposed an alternative of a roundabout, which is <br />more in keeping with maintaining the City's rural atmosphere. The <br />Commissioners thought a roundabout was an innovative idea, but who <br />would be responsible for funding and conducting a safety study of the <br />roundabout alternative. Council members Hunt and Armstrong will attend a <br />workshop on other street items on Wednesday at 1:30 with Don Wiesnewski <br />and Doug Fisher. A suggestion was made to take Washington County's <br />study they are using for the area and have TKDA interpret report. <br />C. Advertising in City Newsletter <br />At the budget public hearing the Council discussed the appropriateness of <br />advertising in our City Newsletter. Advertising was originally suggested to <br />help offset the cost of preparing, printing, and distribution the Newsletter, <br />but was done with a condition for review. The newsletter editor provided a <br />memo showing prepaid advertisements until April, 2001. <br />M/S/P Dunn/DeLapp — to look into the status of printing and advertising in <br />the City's newsletter the first of the year when year-end final costs will be <br />available. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />D. Street Lighting <br />The City does not pay out of City funds for streetlights on private property <br />per Finance Director Banister.
