5. ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING: <br />A. Designation of Legal Newspaper <br />At the last meeting, staff asked that this item be tabled until it had the <br />opportunity to speak with representatives from the Stillwater Gazette. <br />Differences were worked out with the Gazette, and staff recommended <br />award legal publication to Stillwater Gazette because it is imperative the <br />City have a newspaper that prints on a daily basis, especially since we must <br />adhere to the sixty-day rule. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong - to designate the Stillwater Gazette as the City's <br />legal newspaper for 2001. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />B. Appointment of City Attorney <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to appoint Kevin Shoeberg as its prosecution <br />attorney for 2001. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />C. Appointments to Parks Commission <br />Bob Schumacher, John Heroff and Steve Peterson indicated their desire to <br />be reappointed to the Parks Commission. The City received an application <br />from Robert Arnold, 2329 Legion Avenue, who was present to indicate his <br />desire to serve on the Commission. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong - to appoint Bob Shumacher, John Heroff, Steve <br />Peterson to 3-year terms on the Parks Commission beginning January 2001 <br />and expiring December 31, 2003, and to appoint Robert Arnold as First <br />Alternate to the Parks Commission. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />D. Ordinance repealing Section 800.01, Ordinance amending Ordinance <br />9767, Appointment to Planning Commission, Maintenance Advisory <br />Commission and Special Projects Committee <br />So that the purpose, goals and intent of these former commission/committees <br />are not lost, Administrator Kueffner is in the process of revising their former <br />duties into appendixes to Section 210 of the Code.
