These residents <br />should be in a meeting with our Maintenance staff to go over history and <br />information on gravel roads provided by the Maintenance Foreman. <br />Council member Siedow was in favor of a 9-ton road and ordering <br />preparation of plans and could at a later date revisit assessments policy. The <br />Maintenance Foreman made a list of the negatives and positives in having <br />gravel roads. <br />Couhcil member Dunn stated the Council reviewed the different info Dan <br />Olinger had provided and it costs more for maintenance of a gravel road. <br />She asked that the history and information submitted by the Maintenance <br />Foreman be shared with people that attended tonight's Council meeting. <br />John Nicholson, 8975 15"' Street N., stated the Planner had apologized to <br />him for Linders bringing in trucks over the weight limit that the City wasn't <br />aware of. <br />Mayor Hunt indicated roads affect the character of the neighborhood and <br />residents become very emotional on roads. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to postpone consideration until prepared to <br />discuss alternatives and issues raised of past improper maintenance and <br />complaints for this street. No date definite, but possibly in the next two <br />meetings. (Motion passed 4-1:DeLapp would not support the City spending <br />large percentage for 15t' Street road improvement to be used by Linder's <br />Greenhouse business traffic.) <br />B. Approve Plans and Authorize bids for drilling Wells #2 and #3 <br />Tom Prew advised the Council that Well No. 2 would have higher iron <br />levels and that this iron will need to be treated. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution No. 2001-05 approving the <br />plans and specifications for the drilling of Well No. 2 and authorizing <br />advertisement for bids.
