approx. 2 hours in the end of May. (Motion passed 4-1 Siedow: He didn't
want any rules or regulations.)
Planning Commission Member Jeff Berg stated the Planning Commission
has asked if there is a way to be more proactive regarding the Old Village.
He asked what part of the Old Village plan does the Council want to move
forward on ... drainage, substandard lot size. Administrator Kueffner
responded that these issues started the entire concept of an overlay district
for the Old Village.
7A. Parks
Summer Help
Mike Bouthilet has asked that two of our summer workers from last year,
William Leary and Michael Wagner be rehired this year at $9.50 per hour.
Mike has advertised for two high school/college students for additional help
starting in May. There are two positions budgeted for temporary park
maintenance. It works best to split these two positions between four people
in order to work around a flexible schedule due to weather, equipment,
summer vacations and special events and stay within the budget. The two
new people hired will be paid $8.50 per hour.
M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp - to approve William Leary and Michael Wagner
to be rehired this year as summer park workers at $9.50 per hour. (Motion
passed 4-0: Dunn was absent for vote.)
M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong - to approve two high school/college students for
additional summer park help staring in May at $8.50 per hour. (Motion
passed 5-0).
Part-time Well House Inspector:
Spice the first of the year, Bruce Engstrom, a resident that lives close to the
well house, checks in on weekends and holidays. The State requires that the
well be checked every day, including weekends and holidays. The city has
paid him $10 for each time he has performed this duty, which has been 26
times since the first of the year.
LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 3, 2001
