PLANNING, LAND USE & ZONING <br />A. Zoning Variance Lori & Kevin Peterson, 8278 Hidden Bay Court <br />The City Planner presented a recommendation from the Planning Commission to approve <br />the above referenced variance application. The variance is to allow expansion of an <br />existing structure that is non -conforming due to Shoreland OHW setback to permit a two <br />level addition to the north (576) total square feet and a single level kitchen addition to the <br />east (120 square feet). The entire existing structure is within the 100 foot OHW setback <br />of Olson Lake, with the nearest point approximately 46 feet from the OHW. No <br />additional encroachment on the OHW would result from the proposed addition. The <br />DNR advised it has no objections to the variance. City Engineer Prew provided a memo <br />stating the existing 201 on -site system was sufficient in size to accommodate the <br />proposed additions. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution No. 2002-027 approving a zoning variance <br />to allow expansion of a non -conforming structure for Lori and Kevin Peterson, 8278 <br />Hidden Bay Court per plans Staff dated March 21, 2002, based on the recommendation of <br />the Planning Commission and the Findings contained in the resolution.
