Washington County Sheriffs Update <br />Matt Wieland introduced himself as one of the three new Washington County Deputies <br />assigned to Lake Elmo. Since the speeding complaint on Lake Jane Trail has come to his <br />attention, Deputy Wieland will patrol the street and talk to his supervisor about locating a <br />speed trailer on this street. The Council asked the Maintenance Supervisor to check if the <br />signage on the street is clearly marked. <br />4. FINANCE: <br />A. Payment of Interest on General Obligation Bond: <br />The Council received a Debt Service Invoice calling for interest payment of $36,233.33 <br />for our General Obligation State and Improvement bond, 2001. Our remittance must be <br />received by US Bank three business days prior to the due date of August 1, 2002. <br />Therefore, it must be added to this claim list. <br />B. Claims: <br />Staff will receive clarification from Attorney Shoeberg regarding possible double entries <br />for preparation of a complaint. . <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to adopt Resolution 2002-063 approve claim numbers 21890 <br />through 21903 used for the June 27, 2002 payroll and claim numbers 28, 27, 21889 and <br />21904-21945 in the amount of $260,269.52; including payment of Debt Service Invoice <br />for payment of interest on GO Bond to US Bank in the amount of $36,233.33 and <br />clarification of debt service invoice of Attorney Shoeberg for potential double billing. If <br />so, approved reduced amount. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />5. NEW BUSINESS: <br />6. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />A. Water Ski Show: Tri-Lalces Association <br />The Tri-Lakes Association is requesting Council approval of a Water Surface Use Permit <br />for the Annual Water Ski Show on Lake Jane on August 3, 2002 from 1-5 p.m. The Tri <br />Lakes Association has secured appropriate insurance coverage, and the Sheriff's <br />Department has signed off on the permit pending Council approval. The Fire Dept. has <br />been contacted and will provide an emergency vehicle. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to approve the permit request on behalf of the Tri-Lakes <br />Association to hold a Water Ski Show on Lake Jane, August 3, 2002, from 1-5 p.m., <br />based on the submittal of the appropriate information and on past favorable reports. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 16, 2002 <br />
