Village of Lake Elmo Council Meeting Minutes April 16, 1974 Page 2 <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Sheryheim not to accept <br />proposal, Carried 4 - 0. Mayor to <br />relay decision to Schaefer <br />Construction Co. <br />John B. Snell: 1398 Barclay St. St. Paul, Mo. in a letter dated April 7, 1974 <br />requested permission to use a pile of fill from Pebble Park <br />to fill a hole on lot 11 Oaces 5th Addition. <br />Motion b C. Pott to approve removal of pile (approx. 700 <br />cu. yds. at a lot charge of $250.00. C. Shervheim moved and <br />received permission to amend lot charge to $225,00. Second <br />to amendment by C. Abercrombie. Amendment carried 4 - 0. <br />Second to motion by C. Sheryheim. Motion carried 4 - D: <br />Jess Mottaz: Appeared to express his personal opinion relative to proposed <br />park acquisition. <br />Recess 6:33 p.m. Reconvene 7:30 p.m. <br />Robert Rambo: 7:30 appointment' - failed to appear. <br />Motion by C. Pott second by C. Abercrombie to establish 3 <br />( ccTean up days for the spring of 1974. Motion carried 4 0. <br />Schedule as follows: <br />Clean -Up Days: April 20, 1974 - 9:00 a.m. to Noon <br />Cub Pack 224 St. Lucas Church will help cleanup area. Village <br />agreed to supply truck and plastic bags for collection. <br />April.27, 1974 <br />Trailers and trucks will be available at Village Mall Parking <br />Lot starting Friday p.m. and ending at noon on the,27th. <br />May 11, 1974 <br />Trailers and trucks will be available at Pebble Park starting <br />Friday p.m. and ending at noon on the 1.1th. <br />Battle Creek: C. Abercrombie reported that some of the communities originally <br />involved.in the Joint Powers Program had taken action to withdraw. <br />This action makes the Battle Creek Committee ineffective. <br />Lake Elmo to take no action. <br />Park C. Shervheim suggested that the VFW turn over scheduling the <br />Maintenance: use of the VFW field in exchange for village maintaining <br />the field. The.VFW would make provisions for field to be used <br />for softball as well as baseball. If acceptable Dave Lohmann <br />has agreed to maintain the fields for the season for $600.00. <br />He will use village equipment. <br />
