That the City of bake Elmo hereby reaffirms its opposition to the <br />creation of a watershed district whether or not said district includes only <br />that area within the Battle Creek Drainage Area or the larger area including <br />lands in Anoka, Ramsey, and Washington Counties; that creation of said district <br />is presently pending before the Minnesota Water Resource Board. <br />4. That it is the intent of the City of Lake Elmo to continue to provide <br />maintenance and control of the Battle Creek Drainage Area insofar as said area <br />lies within the City of Lake Elmo. <br />5. That the City of Lake Elmo reaffirms its intent to continue to work <br />with and cooperate with the above named municipalities so as to accomplish satis- <br />factory control of the quantity and quality of water in the Battle Creek Drainage <br />Area by means of an ongoing joint power agreement. <br />6. That the City Clerk may be, and he hereby is, authorized to forward <br />a copy of this resolution to the Washington County Board of Commissioners together <br />with a letter from the City of Lake Elmo requesting the Washington County Board <br />of Commissioners to state its opposition to the creation of a watershed district <br />for the Battle Creek Drainage Area or for any other area, which would include <br />lands within Washington County. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo this 6th day of <br />August, 1974. <br />? 9 J <br />M�Lnard Eder, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Donald Mehsikomer <br />City Clerk <br />
