MINUTES OF LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, NOV. 18, 1975-- pg. 2 <br />Pebble Park: Councilman Shervheim advised that the Headquarters Unit <br />682nd. Engineer Battalion will once again be conducting a <br />training session November 22nd. and November 23rd. at Pebble <br />Park. Lake Elmo Will supply after hour protection, gas or <br />diesel refill for equipment and refreshments. Clerk instructed <br />to contact our insurance agent to make sure we have coverage <br />on equipment,from Friday night thru Monday morning. <br />3M-EIS: Councilman advised that Oakdale has scheduled an information <br />meeting on the 3M-EIS for Thursday, November 20, 1975, 7:30P.M. <br />at the Oakdale City Ball. Everyone is encouraged to attend. <br />Legion Ave: Erick Skaiem--Several residents from Legion Ave. were on <br />hand to discuss the ponding of water behind their homes. <br />Engineer Bonestroo reported that the water level was 880.46 <br />while Lake Elmo was 885.45. It was explained that water <br />could not be pumped into Lake Elmo or Downs Lake until <br />approval has been received from DNR and Valley Branch Water- <br />shed District. A flood plan has been presented to both. <br />Parranto PUD: Stelias Aslanidis represented Parranto Bros. Mayor Eder <br />explained that the comprehensive plan was still not completed. <br />Further that the PUD was not inconsistent with proposed plan <br />and'.rrequested action be delayed until plan accepted. <br />Mr. Aslanidis agreed. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie <br />to delay action on Parranto PUD until comprehensive plan <br />is complete. Carried 5-0. <br />Lake Elmo Jaycees: Thomas Lindbeck represented the Jaycees and re- <br />quested authorization to put up a Christmas tree on the <br />Campfire Girls Park Area. <br />Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Pott to <br />approve tree request subject to approval of leader., <br />Mrs. Kupferschmidt of Campfire Girls. Carried 5-0. <br />Eugene Eggert: 8891-37th. St. North. <br />Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to approve variance to build storage on Lot 3, Block 2., <br />Kenridge 2nd Addition subject to conditions in pzc minutes <br />of November 11, 1975. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Eden Park: Bruce Folz and Paul Emerson --Motion by Councilman Abercrombie <br />2nd by Councilman Shervheim to approve plat subject to <br />1. Entering into a development agreement for completion of <br />the required items and supplying a bond (interest bearing <br />certificate), amount to be determined by engineer; contract <br />to show a completion date of required work. and 2. Acceptance <br />of a cash contribution of $862.50 and the 4.8 acre!water <br />surface for park dedication. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />
