MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, November 4, 1975-- Page 2 <br />Animals: Report of animals, other than domestic dogs and cats (jaguars, <br />bob -cats etc.) at 806 Lake Elmo Ave., have been reported to <br />city office. Officer Furstenberg advised that he was aware <br />of the situation; had inspected the facility. The cages and <br />storeage of these animals on the premises was more than <br />adequate. <br />Counsel Raleigh instructed to check local regulation and offer <br />a legal opinion at the next meeting. <br />S.U.P. Violation (Haase)._. John Mueller advised that there was car <br />repair and sales being carried on at the Haase property,which <br />now carries a SUP for a motel, this is not permitted. Mayor <br />instructed, with council approval, Officer Furstenberg and <br />Bldg. Insp. Mueller to issue an ultimatum to cease and desist <br />or his SUP for motel may be in jeopardy. <br />Christmas Lights: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman <br />Lyons authorizing installation of Christmas Lights and offer- <br />,ing whatever assistance is needed from city. Carried 5-0. <br />Demontreville Park Area: An appraisal of the proposed park property <br />in Demontreville area, owned by Allied Properties, has been <br />received from Parranto Pros., Inc.. Appraisal should be re- <br />ferred to the Park Advisory Board with instructions to review <br />and make a recommendation to the city council on the course <br />of action to be taken. <br />Parks: Estimate, to rough in a split accesgbexit road to the Sun- <br />fish Lake Park Site is $1600.00. Motion by Councilman Pott <br />2nd by Councilman Abercrombie authorizing an expenditure of <br />up to $2,000.00 for installation of road to park are with <br />stipulation to utilize Olinger or Emerson if they had necessary <br />equipment available. Carried 5-0. <br />Pebble Park Well: Bldg. Snsp. Mueller advised that two bids were .received <br />for installation of the electric service from the main to the ', -� <br />pump site. High bid from Lightning Electric was $1400.00. <br />The award was given to low bidder, Charles Loftgarden (Brite <br />Lite Electric Co.). His bid was $900.00 and includes a watch <br />light. Engineers'office advised that they will have area <br />staked so installation will be deep enough and at proper <br />location. <br />Park Boundaries: Councilman Shervheim again expressed concern over <br />the lack of cooperation of the county planner in keeping <br />within the proposed boundary of the original Lake Elmo Regional <br />Park. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie <br />for Counsel Raleigh to draft a resolution showing boundaries <br />and expressing council attitude regarding a road and sewer <br />interceptor through the regional park for consideration of <br />council at next meeting. Carried 5-0. <br />
