Carried 5 - 0/ <br />Mr. Schwab indicated that any modifications to buildings in the <br />park would be processed according to the Lake Elmo building <br />permit regulation. <br />Charles Johnson - Sub -division: 4801 Keats Ave. N. Request to sub -divide <br />1.095 acre from Gilbert Sullwold farm area. Currently in SFU <br />area.(100 acres approx.) <br />Motion by Mayor Armstrong, 2nd by Councilman Morgan to approve <br />minor sub -division request of Mr. Charles Johnson for 1.095 <br />acres .from larger farm plat at 4801 Keats Ave. N. be approved. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott, 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to approve <br />reduction of permit application fee from $30. to $10. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Newsletter: Final quote from White Bear Free Press discussed. A 2 <br />column (12" high by 4!1/2" wide) published every other week <br />would run $1,612.80. <br />Motion by Mayor Armstrong, 2nd by Councilman Shervheim (per <br />April 4, 1978 quote) to approve a 6 month program to publish <br />Lake Elmo news every 2nd and 4th Tuesday in the Free Press <br />commencing April 25, 1.978. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Load Limits: Some waste haulers expressed concerns regarding load limits <br />applying to their vehicles. it seems they are not able to <br />operate if restricted by load limits. <br />Motion by Mayor Armstrong, 2nd by Councilman Morgan to issue <br />an ESSENTIAL SERVICE VEHICLE permit to waste haulers for use <br />on City streets during restricted period. Each permit should <br />show any roads which are not included on the permit„ <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Census: Clerk advised that there was no commitment necessary to get a <br />quotation for a census. Council advised to proceed with RFQ. <br />If we were to meet the 5000 we could gain $15,000. for road <br />improvement. <br />Minutes: Page 3 - Parks - 5th line, remove NOT. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim, 2nd by Councilman Morgan to <br />approve minutes of March 21, 1978 meeting as amended. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Claims: Motion by Councilman Morgan, 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to <br />approve payment of claims 781.94 thru 78224. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Use of Fire Hall: Motion by Councilman Shervheim, 2nd by Councilman <br />Pottt to approve use of fire hall and City hall by the Lake <br />Elmo Lions for a Pancake Breakfast April 30, 1978. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Request received from the State Bank of Lake Elmo Softball <br />team for a 3.2 Beer License for use at their LasVegas Nite <br />party at the fire hall on April 29, 1978.
