Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, September 19, 1978 pg. 2 194 Challenge Committee: Councilman Shervheim offered resolution R-78-33, A Resolution permitting one or more individual tax payers, fee owners in Lake Elmo to become taypayer representative plaintiffs in this law suit.and requested council to approve. Second by Councilman Pott. Motion carried 3-2 with Shervheim, Lyons and Pott in favor, Armstrong and Morgan opposed. Trail Grants: Councilman Morgan offered Resolution R78-37, a Resolution Requesting Trail Grants from the DNR. Second by Mayor Armstrong. Carried 5-0. Claims: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim approving payment of claims 73528 thru 78616, Carried 5-0. Minutes Sept. 5, 1978: Page 2- hardy Driveway $100.-$200. Revenue sharing should reference the Revenue Sharing complete history of all receivables and expenses. Copy of report should be attached to 9/5/78.minutes. Page 5 amount to approval for rescue equipment should be $5,044. Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to approve minutes of Sept. 5, 1978 as amended.. Carried 5-0. Minutes Sept. 11, 1978. Last paragragh--page 1-full insurance benefits, should be amended to read full insurance benefits the same as other city employees up to $60.00. Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to approve minutes of Special Meeting of Council Meeting of Sept. 11, 1978 as amended. Carried 5-0. Meter Reader: As previously reported --meter reader has resigned. Suggestion that this be put in newsletter to see if anyone applies. 1976 Assessment: Clerk pointed out that because of consolidation of lots in Lanes Demontrevi.11e Country Club that number to be assessed in that area would be reduced from over to 200 to 60. Council issued instructions to redo the assessment role and prepare a resolution for approval at next meeting. Relative to combining of plates council requested Adm. Assistant to prepare a letter to the ooun�y requesting that county accept the requests to combine plates where area includes only one ownership. Meeting recessed 8p45 p.m. --hearing on Revenue }budget called to order at 8:45 p.m., adjourned 8:55 p.m. Council meeting reconvened at 8:55 p.m. Motion by Councilman Shervheim and by Councilman Morgan to approve following change to past and current Revenue Sharing expense and budget. Income prior to 19'78--$69,056, 1978-$25,918 and 1979-$26,578. Expense: 1977 Police protection $35,687, 1978 Police Protection $45,000., 1978 Firemen's Relief $4000., 1979 Firemen's Relief $2,000. and 1979 Police Protection $49,000. Carried 5-0.
