Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meetinq`d November 210 1978 <br />pg. 2 <br />1-94 continued--2nd by Councilman Pott. Voting for Councilmen Shervheim <br />and Pott and Councilwoman Lyons. Voting against Mayor <br />Armstrong and Councilman Morgan:. Carried 3-2. <br />December Meetings: Agenda showed only one meeting, December 12_, 1978, <br />for December. Council decision is that the regular schedule <br />of meetings apply; that is December 5th, at 7:30 p.m, and <br />December 19 at 5:00 P.M. <br />Joint Mtg.-Oakdale, VBWD and Lake Elmo. Councilwoman Lyons asked if this <br />had been rescheduled. Word from VBWD and Myra Lobeck of <br />Oakdale is that if City of Lake Elmo agrees it will be <br />scheduled for Monday Dec. 4 at the Lake Elmo City Hall at <br />7:30 p.m,. Council agreed if facilities a ef.available« <br />S.U.P.--Councilwoman Lyons requested that listing of SUP to be considered <br />for renewal be distributed ahead of time to t<tembers of the <br />council so they could review and speed up the decision <br />during the council meeting. <br />Minutes: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Mayor 741astrong to approve <br />m1nutes of City Council meeting of November 8 meetingoAas• <br />submitted.. Carried 5-0. <br />Claims: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to approve <br />payment of claims 78803 thru 78827. Carried 5-0. <br />The Pursuit of Competence S ear: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by <br />Mayor ArmstZe tg'to approve expenditure of $35.00 for <br />Administrative _AssG®.,; to attend MAMA conference. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Sewer Insp. School: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Morgan <br />to approve expenditure of up to $35.00 for R. Wier to attend <br />"Homer Sewage Treatment Workshop" March 27-A29, 1.979 and to <br />autrhftkzl mayor to extend invitation to new building inspec- <br />tor if he deems it necessary. Carried 5-0. - <br />Correspondence: Letter received from Juran and Moody setting up schedule <br />of events re Lake Elmo Hardwood Company Project with final <br />closing December 7, 1978. <br />Michael R. Johnson. Letter received from Mk <br />OhwdlJohnson resigning his <br />position on the Park Advisory Committee. Since he repre- <br />sented the Jaycees he recommended consideration of ' <br />Leo Gehlhoff as his replacement. <br />Demontreville Highlands-lst. to 4th. Addition: Letter 11-17-78 from <br />Engineer recommended acceptance of roads in Dem. Highlands <br />but advised that some minor items remain to be complete$; <br />these would be listed and included in the bond for 5th. Add. <br />Assessor: Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to authorize <br />city to contract with WAshington County for assessor services <br />for 1 year. Motion carried 4-1 with Councilman Morgan <br />opposed. <br />
