LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, FEBRUARY 17, 1981 -4- <br />OLD BUSINESS; A. Nick Patti - Patti Homes - Cancelled <br />B. City Engineer <br />1. MST Project #1 - Engineer Bohrer updated the City's <br />State Aid allowance. He reviewed the areas that would <br />qualify for paving. The Council discussed alternate <br />streets with the Engineer. He will consider all the <br />proposed alternates and make a recommendation to the <br />Council at the March 3 meeting. <br />2. Waterline Study - Clarence Urtel petitioned the City <br />to extend the City waterline to his property at 2575 <br />Lake Elmo Avenue. Additional residents along Lake Elmo <br />Avenue will be notified about possible hook-up. A <br />feasibility study will determine how far the waterline <br />can be extended for residential and fire use. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Novak, to adopt g-81-12, to <br />authorize the Engineer to prepare a feasibility study <br />on extending the City waterline down Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />The Council will hold a public hearing on the Waterline <br />Feasibility Study, March 17, 1981, at 8 p.m. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />A. Brookman Addition - Site and Building Plan - The Council <br />1 reviewed the Planning Commission's minutes on the proposed <br />building. Mr. Dave Loos presented a revised site and <br />landscape plan. The Council did not want to comment on the <br />plan until they received a recommendation from the Planning <br />Commission. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Novak, to .refer the revised plan <br />back to the Planning Commission for their review and recom- <br />mendation. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Mr. Loos explained the changes they would request regarding <br />parking space size, number of spaces required, and landscape <br />islands. The Council recommended these requests be submitted <br />as variances for Planning Commission consideration. The <br />Administrator recommended Mr. Loos apply for these variances <br />so they can be published. <br />B. Rezoning F. J. Crombie Estates - Bruce Folz reviewed <br />the plat and pr-opertylocation. Administrator Whittaker read <br />the Planner, : Engineer and Highway Department's comments. <br />The Planning Commission recommendedapprovingthe rezoning. <br />Mottaz moved, seconded by Novak, to adopt Ordinance 7922, amending <br />the Zoning Map and rezoning Tract H. RLS 98, to R-1 from RR, <br />for Veronica M. Crombie. Motion carried 4-0. <br />
