LAKE ' LMO BOARD OF REVIEW, JUNE 3, 1981 —2— <br />Leo Raleigh Questioned his valuation, The home is 30 ,years old, The Assessor <br />11256 30th St, explained that the property and the home received a 25% blanket <br />7135-6650 increase this Year. <br />valuation ; $51, 605 <br />ASSESSOR ACTION: None <br />COUNCIL ACTION : None <br />Erwin Beutel Mr, Beutel asked why the value on this lot had not cone done <br />3693 Laverne since he sold off 101. The split has not been indicated on <br />37130-2200 the records as yet. The valuation will be reduced to $4,555 <br />Valuation: $5,465 once the split comes through on their records. <br />ASSESSOR ACTION: None <br />COUNCIL ACTION : None <br />Helen Fisher <br />8130 38th St, <br />37095-3100 <br />Valuation: $78,300 <br />37095-3150 <br />Valuation: $79500 <br />6/16/81 — Council <br />approved reduction <br />in value of parcel <br />37095-3100 by $8,900 <br />Mrs. Fisher noted she is a realtor and familiar with property <br />value in her area. She submitted compariables of homes that <br />are for sale or have sold in the area. She feels the valueation <br />is too high. <br />She asked for a breakdown of the assessment on her home. She <br />noted there is not a full basement as indicated on the record. <br />She asked the assessors to view the property, She also <br />questioned the value of parcel 3150. A pipeline goes through <br />the lot and the parcel could not be sold as a buildable lot. <br />ASSESSOR ACTION: `.Pile assessor will go out and view the house <br />and the adjacent lot and make a recommendation to the board. <br />COUNCIL ACTION: None. <br />ASSESSOR RECOMMMDATION: The assessor viewed the house and <br />.recommended reducing the value by $8,900 because there is no <br />basement under part of the house and kennel value was taken <br />too high, The value on the second parcel, 37095-3150, is ill <br />line. <br />Sohan Sahota Questioned the valuation of the property, The Assessor gave a <br />51111! Lake Elmo Avenue breakdown of the assessment on the home, Mr, Sahota indicated <br />37065-2250 there is no central air as indicated on the record. Be feels <br />Valuation: $129,500 1-,his years increase is arbitrary and that the house has not <br />increased 10/6 in value. The Assessor indicated the home was <br />revalued this year and had received blanket increases over <br />the past three years. Mr. Sahota purchased the home, two years <br />ago, for $167,000. <br />ASSESSOR ACTION: None <br />COUNCIL ACTION : None <br />Ted Huntly <br />Questioned the valuation as of February 20, 1981, when he moved <br />4275 Ivy Ct. <br />into the house. He stated the home was not carpeted or. painted <br />37444-2850 <br />as of this date. Less was done as of January 1. Mr. Huntly <br />Valuation: 8103,285 <br />also disputed the market value, stating he has 870,000 into <br />the home, and the County valued it at $88, 281). He does not <br />5/16/81 Council <br />think the house increased $18,000 in value in three months. <br />Zpproved reducing <br />The Assessor did not go through the house, <br />value by $13,140. <br />ASSESSOR ACTION; The Assessor advised Mr.. Huntly that if he <br />can supply information verifying that 'tale house was less than <br />95/ complete as of January the valuation could be adjusted.. <br />They also advised him that he is eligible for 1/2 year home— <br />stead credit if he applies before June 15. The Assessors will <br />to out and view the house. <br />
