R-81-50 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE RENAMING OF LITTLE SUNFISH LAKE <br />IN THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO TO LAKE ROSE. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is conducting <br />an inventory of public waters in the State of Minnesota;and, <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has solicited <br />the cooperation of the City of Lake Elmo in identifying and <br />naming public waters with in the corporate .limits of the City <br />of Lake Elmo; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has two lakes named Sunfish <br />Lake;and, <br />WHEREAS, the name Sunfish Lake has no historical significance <br />with respect to the lake numbered 112 W in sections 25 and 36 in <br />t-he City of Lake Elmo; and, <br />WHEREAS, the land surrounding this lake was historically a <br />part of the Freidrich family holdings and the mother in this <br />family was named Rose; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Lake Elmo, <br />THAT, the City of Lake Elmo hereby rdquests that the name <br />of i(Little) Sunfish Lake in sections 25 and 36 of the City of <br />Lake Elmo be changed to Lake Rose; and, <br />THAT, the final public waters inventory for Washington <br />County reflect that Lake 112 W in sections 25 and 36 of the <br />City of Lake Elmo is called Lake Rose. <br />Adopted, this the 7th day of July, 1981, by the City Council <br />City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota. <br />SIGNED: <br />Mayn� �—`or <br />Eder,Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Laurence E.
