CITY COUNCIL MEETING, JANUARY 19, 1982 Green Acres- --Whittaker-outlined what is adlowbdc,:i under the present permit. Hours are not defined. --Springborn - currently close at 10:00 p.m. Sun-Thur and 10:30 Fri -Sat. He hires an off -duty deputy for Friday and Saturday night. --Mottaz - as a close neighbor, no problems now; but it is :important to set limits on the extent of expansion. Also, have to consider that this is a residential neighborhood and someday this use may not be compatible with the area, should set parameters now. Administrator Whittaker will meet with Mr. Springborn to work out a proposal setting limits on hours and use. 5. ENGINEER'S REPORT: A. 201 Study Report - Engineer Bohrer referenced the 201 Study Report outlining Phase I ,I 'ideritifying the septic needs -i:n-the community, that was sent to the Council for their review and comment. He introduced Bob Callery,_.201 Project Manager, and Loren Braun, who explained the field work, how needs were.determined and the procedure that will be followed at the public meeting. Comments are to be directed to Mr. Callery or Mr. Braun before the public hearing, January 26. B. MSA Variance or Change Plan - Engineer Bohrer presented a map indicating the alignment of the 30 mph curve and the 40 mph curve. 1.2 acres would be \ required for the 40 mph curve. Discussion included road alignment, curves, "T" intersections, and extensions of Julep and 45th St. --Eder - get the property owners together to discuss alternative alignments. Concerned about preserving ag land. --Mottaz - may regret constructYng a 30 mph curve. Would prefer extending 45th Street and using a "T." intersection at 45th and Keats, provided this is economically feasible. The Engineer and Administrator will approach Mn/DOT about endorsing a "T" intersection. Bohrer will compile cost figures for extending 45th for future road plan consideration. C. Jamaca Avenue Paving - Bohrer referr d'his letter of October 27, regarding --the completion of Jamaca Avenue, and recommended increasing the tennis --.court parking lot contract to include this work. --Eder - suggested asking Schifsky to either share in the cost or do the work for cost. Eder and Whittaker will approach him. --Whittaker - this is not budgeted. Monies would have to be taken out of the Emergency Road Maintenance Reserve. --Bohrer - would like to bid the parking lot in February - encouraged to make a decision by then. This will be on -the February 2, agenda.
