CITY COUNCIL MEETING, JANUARY 19, 1982 <br />Green Acres- <br />--Whittaker-outlined what is adlowbdc,:i under the present permit. <br />Hours are not defined. <br />--Springborn - currently close at 10:00 p.m. Sun-Thur and <br />10:30 Fri -Sat. He hires an off -duty deputy for Friday and <br />Saturday night. <br />--Mottaz - as a close neighbor, no problems now; but it is <br />:important to set limits on the extent of expansion. Also, <br />have to consider that this is a residential neighborhood and <br />someday this use may not be compatible with the area, should <br />set parameters now. <br />Administrator Whittaker will meet with Mr. Springborn to <br />work out a proposal setting limits on hours and use. <br />5. ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. 201 Study Report - Engineer Bohrer referenced the 201 Study Report <br />outlining Phase I ,I 'ideritifying the septic needs -i:n-the community, <br />that was sent to the Council for their review and comment. <br />He introduced Bob Callery,_.201 Project Manager, and Loren Braun, <br />who explained the field work, how needs were.determined and <br />the procedure that will be followed at the public meeting. <br />Comments are to be directed to Mr. Callery or Mr. Braun before <br />the public hearing, January 26. <br />B. MSA Variance or Change Plan - <br />Engineer Bohrer presented a map indicating the alignment of <br />the 30 mph curve and the 40 mph curve. 1.2 acres would be <br />\ required for the 40 mph curve. Discussion included road <br />alignment, curves, "T" intersections, and extensions of Julep <br />and 45th St. <br />--Eder - get the property owners together to discuss alternative <br />alignments. Concerned about preserving ag land. <br />--Mottaz - may regret constructYng a 30 mph curve. Would prefer <br />extending 45th Street and using a "T." intersection at 45th <br />and Keats, provided this is economically feasible. <br />The Engineer and Administrator will approach Mn/DOT about <br />endorsing a "T" intersection. Bohrer will compile cost figures <br />for extending 45th for future road plan consideration. <br />C. Jamaca Avenue Paving - <br />Bohrer referr d'his letter of October 27, regarding --the <br />completion of Jamaca Avenue, and recommended increasing the <br />tennis --.court parking lot contract to include this work. <br />--Eder - suggested asking Schifsky to either share in the cost <br />or do the work for cost. Eder and Whittaker will approach him. <br />--Whittaker - this is not budgeted. Monies would have to be <br />taken out of the Emergency Road Maintenance Reserve. <br />--Bohrer - would like to bid the parking lot in February - <br />encouraged to make a decision by then. <br />This will be on -the February 2, agenda. <br />
