CITY COUNCIL MEETING, APRIL 6, 1982 -6- <br />7. ENGINEER'S REPORT - <br />C. CSAH ff—w 15 Improvement -Continued - <br />M/S/P Fraser/Mottaz to adopt R-82-19, A Resolution approving <br />Washington County's Plan to improve CSAH 14 & 15 with the <br />exception of the culvert proposed under the railroad tracks. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Fraser to adopt R-82-20, A Resolution restricting <br />parking on those improved road segments of Manning Avenue to <br />parallel parking, per State -Aid Standards. <br />8. COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />A. Councillor Fraser - <br />1 Refinisri ng Council Chairs Visited Mr. Taurinskas'shop, <br />Woodgrain.Restoration,. from all indications, he is an experienced, <br />careful, well trained craftsman, who would do a good job <br />for the City. <br />M/S/P Fraser/Mottaz to accept the low bid from Woodgrain Restoration, <br />Dave Taurinskas, for $600 to refinish 10 Council chairs. Motion <br />carried 3-0-1 Novak abstained. <br />7. T ENGINEER'S REPORT - <br />_ <br />D.,. � <br />. Brookfield�Ditch - The Engineer has not viewed the area; but <br />indicated his costs will be within the Administrator's authorization <br />to survey the _outlet and set grade stakes. <br />t 8. A. Councillor_ Fraser - <br />(2) Use 'of- the "ire Hall - The Council reviewed Councillor <br />Fraser" and' Chief Kuettners report on policy and regulations <br />for use of the Fire Hall. <br />M/S/P Fraser/Novak to adopt R-82-21, A Resolution adopting as:.City <br />policy those sections underlined in the report on "Use of the Old <br />City Council Chambers/Fire Hall Meeting Room". <br />M/S/P Fraser/Mottaz to approve the'""Rules_-of Use" as listed in <br />the Memo of March 30, 11.9820"Comments and Recommendations on the <br />Use of the Old City Council Chambers/Fire Hall Meeting Room", pg 2. <br />Rules of Use to be printed on the back of the application for use form. <br />BREAK <br />8. Councillor Mottaz - <br />Z3)- County appointments to Watershed District and Park Commission - <br />Would like Commissioner Schaefer reminded that Lake Elmo would <br />like to be consulted on appointments for this area. <br />(1) 25th Anniversary - Fire Department - Presented the proposed <br />Calendar of Events for the 25th Anniversary Celebration; May 22: <br />- Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - equipment demos, tours, etc. <br />- Appreciation Event sponsored by the City at 7 p.m., Invitations <br />will be sent, 100-125 guests. <br />- Awards and appreciation program <br />- Buffet table <br />
