Request from Washington County Resolution for CSAH 35
The Engineer reviewed the request that came from Oakdale to upgrade
the County Road status of 50th Street to County State Aid Highway
status. The County State Aid Screening Committee had added that
mileage to their County system (per letter from Chuck Swanson,
Washington County Administrator). Bohrer further stated that County
Road 13 was a County State Aid Highway, and will remain that
classification. There was no changing of designation or trade-offs.
M/S/P Fraser/Dunn - To approve Resolution 84-49 designating portions
of 50th Street going westerly from Olson Lake Trail North as CSAH 35
as requested by Washington County and concurring with Washington
County Resolution 84-73• (Motion carried 3-0).
B. Consideration of bids for 1984 Pebble Park Tennis Court
Resurfacing Improvements.
The City Engineer stated that invitations were sent to four
contractors for this work, and three bids were received. The low
bidder was Sjostrom, Inc. of Fridley in the amount of $3990.00. The
bids also requested three references because workmanship is as much a
factor as anthing else in this type of work. The references provided
by Sjostrom, Inc. (City of Blaine, City of Forest Lake and St. Paul
Park and Recreation Board) of which the Engineer was able to contact
two, indicated they were both well satisfied with the workmanship of
Sjostrom, Inc. The Engineer recommended that the contract be awarded
to Sjostrom, Inc.
