R84-32 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR A <br />DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCE PARK GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Park Advisory Commission has <br />reviewed the need for winter grooming of the ski trail system in <br />Sunfish Park for the 1984-85 skiing season; and, <br />WHEREAS, the need for ski trail winter grooming for the <br />approximate seven miles of ski trails in Sunfish park exceeds the <br />dollars available for such services; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has <br />grants available for winter grooming of the ski trails; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo Advisory Commission unanimously <br />recommended to the City Council on April 16, 1984 that an <br />application for DNR Park Grant -In Aid Program be made for winter <br />grooming of the Sunfish ski trail. system for 1984-85, <br />i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lake Elmo City <br />Council that the .recommendations of the Park Advisory Committee be <br />approved. The said ski trails are entirely within the City <br />Property known as Sunfish Park and the winter grooming work will <br />be performed by Washington County. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are <br />hereby authorized to proceed with the application to the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources Minnesota Trail Assistance Program <br />for funds through its Grant -In Aid Program. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 17th day of <br />April, 1984 <br />... 4; <br />Signed. _ <br />Mavn.a E er.
