LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 3, 1989 PAGE 5 E. CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS (1) Planning Commission The City has received seven applications for a position on the Planning Commission. A copy of each was providedfor Council review. The applicants will be interviewed at our January 17th meeting. Al Kunde and Rob Enes have submitted their letters indicating their interest in continuing to serve on the Planning Commission. MS/P Hunt/Dunn - to reappoint Al Kunde as a full voting member for a full three-year term on the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to reappoint Rob Enes as a full voting member, for a three-year term, on. the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). (2) Parks Commission The terms of Robert Haacke, Gloria Knoblauch and Ron Ramirez are up December 31, 1988. Ron Ramirez and Robert Haacke did not seek reappointments. Sharon Simpson has filled Bill Osborn term which will expire in 1990. M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to reappoint Gloria. Knoblauch to serve a three-year term on the Parks Commission, commencing January 1, 1989. (Motion carried 4-0). M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to appoint Gary Lee and Donna Bance as full -voting members of the Parks Commission, commencing as of. January 1, 1989. Councilman Williams suggested the staff send a Press Release advertising the two park commission opening in all the newspaper (including the Star & Tribune). M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to direct the staff to advertise for two park commission positions in all newspapers. (Motion carried 3-1`;Dunna She did not think we needed to include the Star & Tribune>). (3) Cable Commission David Garloff has expressed his interest in remaining as the City's representative on the Ramsey -Washington Counties Suburban Cable Commission. Mr. Garloff has recently been named Vice Chair. Councilman Moe indicated he was willing to continue to serve as representative of the City. M/S/P Willims/Hunt - resolved that David Garloff, and Councilman Don Moe, are hereby appointed to serve as representatives of the City on the Ramsey Washington Counties Suburban Cable Commission. (Motion carried 4-0).
