LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 3, 1989 PAGE 5 <br />E. CITY COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS <br />(1) Planning Commission <br />The City has received seven applications for a position on the <br />Planning Commission. A copy of each was providedfor Council review. <br />The applicants will be interviewed at our January 17th meeting. <br />Al Kunde and Rob Enes have submitted their letters indicating their <br />interest in continuing to serve on the Planning Commission. <br />MS/P Hunt/Dunn - to reappoint Al Kunde as a full voting member for a <br />full three-year term on the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to reappoint Rob Enes as a full voting member, <br />for a three-year term, on. the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />(2) Parks Commission <br />The terms of Robert Haacke, Gloria Knoblauch and Ron Ramirez are up <br />December 31, 1988. Ron Ramirez and Robert Haacke did not seek <br />reappointments. Sharon Simpson has filled Bill Osborn term which will <br />expire in 1990. <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to reappoint Gloria. Knoblauch to serve a <br />three-year term on the Parks Commission, commencing January 1, 1989. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to appoint Gary Lee and Donna Bance as <br />full -voting members of the Parks Commission, commencing as of. January <br />1, 1989. <br />Councilman Williams suggested the staff send a Press Release <br />advertising the two park commission opening in all the newspaper <br />(including the Star & Tribune). <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to direct the staff to advertise for two park <br />commission positions in all newspapers. (Motion carried 3-1`;Dunna She <br />did not think we needed to include the Star & Tribune>). <br />(3) Cable Commission <br />David Garloff has expressed his interest in remaining as the City's <br />representative on the Ramsey -Washington Counties Suburban Cable <br />Commission. Mr. Garloff has recently been named Vice Chair. <br />Councilman Moe indicated he was willing to continue to serve as <br />representative of the City. <br />M/S/P Willims/Hunt - resolved that David Garloff, and Councilman Don <br />Moe, are hereby appointed to serve as representatives of the City on <br />the Ramsey Washington Counties Suburban Cable Commission. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />
