LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 20, 1989 PAGE 7 <br />Bohrer recommended that the work be awarded to the low bidder, Valley <br />Paving, who was the successful bidder last year on the overlay <br />project. <br />M/S/P Graves/Hunt - resolved that the low bidder, Valley Paving be <br />awarded the 20th Street Overlay, 38th and 39th Street Patch and <br />Overlay Project in the amount of $71,641.50. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />9. CITY COUNCIL REPORTSe <br />Councilman Williams presented the following motion for completing the <br />updating of the Comprehensive Plan. Williams added the intent of his <br />motion was to divorce the Future Land Use Map and the text from all <br />the data maps the County was working on. <br />MIS/ Williams/Hunt - The City Council of Lake Elmo hereby directs: <br />1. that the City Clerk, Mary Kueffner, be relieved of all duties <br />beginning Wednesday, June 21., 1989 for a period of not more than five <br />working days, <br />2. that she spend her working hours during that period exclusively on <br />completing the updating of the Comp Plan, and <br />3. that the City Administrator be responsible for fulfilling the <br />duties normally performed by the City Clerk for that period. <br />Councilman Hunt was in favor of: the intent, but felt it was too <br />restrictive. Councilman Graves was supportive of getting this <br />accomplished, but felt it was taking the perogative away from the City <br />Administrator. Graves added that the Council did not provide clear <br />direction to the City Administrator to make sure that the Plan is <br />comp leted by whatever method necessary within.a given timeframe. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to amend the motion to include wording changes <br />or additions: Item #1: that the Deputy City Clerk, Mary Kueffner, be <br />relieved of all duties beginning Wednesday, June 21, 1.989, for a total <br />of not more than five working days, before Friday, June 30th. Item <br />#2: that she spend her working hours during those days exclusively on <br />completing the updating of the Comp Plan. Item #3: that the City <br />Administrator be responsible for fulfilling the duties normally <br />performed by the Deputy City Clerk for those days. Item 4: that the <br />text of the Comp Plan be mailed to the City Council and Planning <br />Commission by June 30, 1989.
