LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 20, 1989 PAGE 8 <br />completing the updating of the Comprehensive Plan, and <br />3. that the City Administrator be responsible for fulfilling the <br />duties normally performed by the Deputy City Clerk for those days, and <br />4. that the text of the Comprehensive Plan be mailed to the City <br />Council and Planning Commission by June 30, 1989. <br />(Motion carried 3-1: Graves: He was totally supportive of getting the <br />Plan accomplished, but would not support the motion for the reason it <br />was taking the perogative and authority away from the City <br />Administrator to run her staff the way she needs to in order to get <br />her priorities down.) <br />Councilman Williams provided the following motion: <br />M/S/P Williams/Graves - The City Council of Lake Elmo hereby directs: <br />a. that the City Administrator send the draft of the text of the <br />Comprehensive Plan to Metro Council Planning Staff for their review as <br />to format; <br />b. that the Planning Commission hold a public hearing on Monday, <br />July 24, 1989, on the adoption of the text and future land use map <br />portions of the Comprehensive Plan; <br />C. that the Planning Commission forward its recommendations to <br />the City Council no later than August 15, 1989. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />10. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Resolution No. 89-35: Approving DNR Grant Application for <br />Ski Trail Maintenance at Sunfish Park <br />The City applied for, and received Grant Fundings for maintenance of <br />the Sunfish Lake Ski trails in the amount of $1,985 last year for the <br />1988/89 ski season. Our expenses for grooming of the trails were <br />$1,347.51. As this funding was quite beneficial to the City, <br />Administrator Morrison recommended we pursue Grant funds again this <br />year. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Dunn - resolved that Resolution No. 89-35, Approving <br />Application for a DNR Park Grant, for ski trail maintenance at Sunfish <br />Park, is hereby approved. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />B. Approval of Amendment --Cottage Grove Ravine Agreement <br />The City representative to the Cottage Grove Ravine Watershed <br />District, Tom Armstrong, has requested Council approval 'o£ the first <br />I amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement to protect and manage the <br />`- Cottage Grove Ravine Watershed District. This agreement has been <br />approved by the City Attorney and reviewed by the City Engineer. <br />
