LAKE. ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 2, 1990 PAGE 6 <br />2. Parks Commission <br />The terms of Scotty Lyall, Dan Tra.uscht and Mark <br />31, 1989. Cable Commission <br />Former Councilmember Don Moe and Dave Garl.off were appointed as the <br />City's representative to the Cable Commission for 1989. Mr. Garl.off <br />has expressed interest in reappointment. Karen Wandmarher, 8935 Lake <br />Jane Trail, submitted a letter of interest. <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Dave Garlof£ and Karen Wandmacher <br />as the City's representatives to the Cable Commission for 1990. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />4. Community Education: ISD 834 and ISD 622 <br />Nancy Hansen was appointed to ISD 834 Community Education Advisory <br />Board in 1987, 1988, 1989 and has indicated a desire to be reappointed <br />to this position again in 1990. <br />Rosemary Armstrong was appointed to the ISD 622 Community Education <br />Advisory Board in 1987, 1988 and 1989 and has indicated a desire to be <br />reappointed to this position again in 1990. <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Nancy Hansen as Lake Elmo's <br />representative to ISD 834 Community Education Advisory Board for 1990. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to appoint Rosemary Armstrong as Lake Elmo's <br />representative to ISD 622 Community Education Advisory Board for 1990. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />5. Council Representatives City Functions <br />Staff reported in the background information that prior to 1985, two <br />council.members each were appointed to the Budget, Capital Improvement, <br />and Personnel Committees. Since that time, the Council has chosen to <br />act as a committee of the whole to discuss these areas as needed <br />during the year. <br />Staff recommended the Council consider going back to the "Committee" <br />procedure, to try it out for a year, and appoint two members to the <br />Budget, Capital Improvement and Personnel Committees. <br />
