LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 6, 1990 PAGE 7 <br />guidelines and allow handicapped persons the right to drive R.V.'s on <br />city streets. If the Council was inclined to consider this ordinance, <br />the City Attorney suggested the ordinance should specifically <br />designate which city streets are allowed. <br />The Council suggested the Acting Admin. contact Mr. Sei.dow and inform <br />him of the proposed ordinance and the Council's intent to designate <br />allowed roadways in this ordinance and ask him for his comments. <br />The City Attorney provided the Council with a litigation report. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to call an Executive Session at 6:00 p.m. in <br />City Hall on Tuesday, February 13, 1990 to discuss pending litigation. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />Repeal R-1 Zoning Ordinance: <br />Councilman Williams asked he Attorney how can the Rl Zoning Ordinance <br />be repealed. The attorney will look into what is involved for <br />amending this ordinance and come back to the Council with a <br />recommendation. <br />B. Attorney Carl Blondin's Contract <br />The City Council did not receive a copy for review of Carl Blondin's <br />contract. <br />Copies will be sent to the Council <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams -• to postpone consideration of Attorney Carl <br />Blondin's contract until the February 20, 1990 City Council meeting. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />9. PLANNING COMMISSION RESIGNATION/APPOINTMENT <br />Barbara Haacke has resigned from the Planning Commission. We now have <br />four vacancies on the commission, two regular full -voting members and <br />two alternates. The City received 5 applications. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Armstrong - to accept the resignation of Barbara Haacke <br />from the Planning Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to direct the staff to prepare a Resolution <br />commending Barbara Haacke for her years of service on the Planning <br />Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Hunt - to appoint Karen Johnston, 8200 Hill Trail N., <br />and James Arkell, 8131 Hidden Bay Tril N., as Full -Voting members of - <br />the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Williams/Armstrong - to appoint Debra Wilfong, 2229 Legion <br />Avenue N., as First Alternate and Lonny Thomas, 11230 12th St., as <br />Second Alternate to the Lake Elmo Planning Commission. (Motion <br />carried 3-1: Dunn: She would like to see someone representing another <br />area of the City.) <br />
