An <br />information packet about the 1.990 assessment and specific <br />responsibilites of Local Boards will be sent to the Council in a <br />month. <br />C. Adjustment of Operating Committees <br />Councilman Hunt brought to the attention of the Council that both <br />Councilman Williams and himself were on the CIP Committee and Budget <br />Committee, and felt they needed an outsider's view. Hunt asked <br />Councilwoman Armstrong if she would be interested in sitting on the <br />Budget Committee. <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to appoint Councilwoman Armstrong to replace <br />Councilman Hunt on the Budget Committee and Councilman Hunt be <br />appointed to replace Councilwoman Armstrong on the Personnel <br />Committee. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />D. OTHER <br />Mayor Dunn reported: <br />She attended the Tri-Lakes Assoc. annual meeting. <br />News Release: The Senate wants everyone to know on February 12th they <br />are convening and will be on Regional Cable channel 6. <br />MN Board of Water and Soil Resources regarding the Browns Creek Water <br />Management Plan. The Council suggested submitting an article in the <br />Newsletter asking if anyone is interested in serving on the Browns <br />Creek Watershed. <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Insurance Package - Renewal <br />David Holmberg, Zignego Agency, submitted to the Council an Insurance <br />Package/Renewal Premium Summary and Binder to continue coverage <br />through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust and a cost <br />comparison from last year. <br />In Peter Tritz's letter of December 1, 1.989 he notified that the City <br />must waive or not waive the monetary limits on tort liability <br />established by Minnesota Statutes 466.04. Mr. Tritz also points out <br />that the statutory liability limits have been upheld in two recent <br />Minnesota Supreme Court cases. Tritz gave out examples as to some <br />kinds of liability to which the statutory limits either don't or might <br />not apply. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Hunt - the city does not waive the monetary limits on <br />tort liability established by Minnesota Statutes 466.04. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to renew the insurance package submitted by <br />Zignego Agency Inc./Insurance dated 1/30/90 in the North Star Risk <br />
