PUBLIC INQUIRIES
Kelly Brockman, 3385 Lake Elmo Avenue, stated on several occasions
this Council has been asked "What is the situation on the Section 32
negotiations"? The Mayor has answered "We're just talking, nothing is
really happening". Today we read in the paper that negotiations are
complete, and we will give up Section 32 to Oakdale without a public
information meeting or an informational letter to the citizens. Mr.
Brockman asked the Council for an informational meeting to let the
citizens of our city know what is going on. Above all, do not give
away Section 32.
Mayor Dunn responded that no decision on Section 32 has been made with
Oakdale. The newspaper article was in error. Negotiations have been
on -going between Oakdale and Lake Elmo appointed representatives,
Councilman Hunt and herself. When a proposal is reached, it will be
brought before the entire Council for their review.
Councilman Hunt read an excerpt from the newspaper article and
clarified that no meeting date had been set. He indicated to Mr.
Brockman, if he would like to stay, Section 32 was on the agenda later
in the evening.
5. REAPP REPORT:
No report was given.
6.
