LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 17, 1991 5 <br />B. Arabian Hills, Letter of Credit Reduction <br />The developer for Arabian Hills has requested a reduction in <br />their letter of credit. Tom Prew reported the grading, paving <br />and storm sewer work is complete, but some seeding and cleanup <br />work remain. <br />The Council asked the City Engineer to check on the landscape <br />plan regarding trees being planted along Keats Avenue. <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to reduce the Irrevocable Letter of <br />Credit #156 held by the First State Bank of Spring Lake Park from <br />$137,000.00 to $15,000; contingent upon submittal of lien waivers <br />from all contractors. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />C. Old Village Water Tank Inspection & Paint <br />The City Engineer indicated no proposal has been submitted. <br />D. Discussion of water rates for "Old Village" and <br />Lake Jane water supply <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to direct the City Administrator to call <br />a Public Hearing for January 21st to set water rates for the Old <br />Village area at $1.25/1,000 gallons, plus a $5.00 per quarter <br />service charge and a $6.00 quarter per customer water main <br />replacement fee in accordance with the City Engineer's report, <br />dated December 4, 1991. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Williams/Mottaz - to direct the City Administrator to call <br />a Public Hearing for January 21st to set the water rates for the <br />Lake Jane area at $1.15/1,000 gallons, plus a $5.00 per quarter <br />service charge. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />E. OTHER <br />The Council suggested that Dave Gustafson, Univ. of Minnesota, <br />present his slide show on septic systems on January 7th, at 6:00- <br />7:00 p.m., before the city council meeting. <br />7. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />No report was given. <br />8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Councilman Johnson explained there was a vacancy on the <br />Maintenance Advisory Committee due to the resignation of Kelly <br />Brockman. <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Williams - to advertise the position on the <br />Maintenance Advisory Committee in the next city newsletter. <br />(Motion carried 4-0)'. <br />
