LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 21, 1992 2 <br />The Lake Elmo Jaycees requested a resolution by the <br />Council supporting the Jaycees Lawful Gaming at the Twin <br />Point Tavern for 1992. The City Administrator explained the <br />City has not received any complaints on either the Lake Elmo <br />Jaycees or the VFW charitable gambling operations. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Dick Johnson - to adopt Resolution No. 92-5, A <br />Resolution Approving the Issuance of a Charitable Gambling <br />License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo Jaycees. <br />(Motion carried 5-0). <br />John Hughes, Exec. Vice President of the Lake Elmo <br />Jaycees, asked if the City would issue a Proclamation <br />declaring Huff & Puff Days as the official City Celebration <br />for 1992. <br />The City staff will prepare a proclamation declaring Huff & <br />Puff Days on August 13-16 as the Official City Celebration <br />for 1992. <br />The Jaycees requested the City waive the field light <br />charge at Lions Park from August 10-17 as the City has in <br />the past. <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to waive the field light charge at <br />Lions Park from August 10-17 for Huff & Puff Days. (Motion <br />carried 5-0). <br />The Jaycees are looking into having a street dance for <br />Huff & Puff Days. The three possible locations are the Fire <br />Dept Parking lot, City Hall parking lot and the Twin Point <br />Parking Lot. <br />The Council indicated their preference was either the City <br />Hall or Fire Dept.'s Parking lot. The staff will research as <br />to what is required and come back to the Council with a <br />recommendation. <br />Lake Elmo VFW Charitable Gambling <br />The Lake Elmo VFW has requested a Resolution by the City <br />approving issuance of their charitable gambling license for <br />1992. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to adopt Resolution No. 92-6, A <br />Resolution Approving the Issuance of a Charitable Gambling <br />License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo Post <br />#5725 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. <br />(Motion carried 5-0). <br />
