LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 21, 1992 2 The Lake Elmo Jaycees requested a resolution by the Council supporting the Jaycees Lawful Gaming at the Twin Point Tavern for 1992. The City Administrator explained the City has not received any complaints on either the Lake Elmo Jaycees or the VFW charitable gambling operations. M/S/P Mottaz/Dick Johnson - to adopt Resolution No. 92-5, A Resolution Approving the Issuance of a Charitable Gambling License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo Jaycees. (Motion carried 5-0). John Hughes, Exec. Vice President of the Lake Elmo Jaycees, asked if the City would issue a Proclamation declaring Huff & Puff Days as the official City Celebration for 1992. The City staff will prepare a proclamation declaring Huff & Puff Days on August 13-16 as the Official City Celebration for 1992. The Jaycees requested the City waive the field light charge at Lions Park from August 10-17 as the City has in the past. M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to waive the field light charge at Lions Park from August 10-17 for Huff & Puff Days. (Motion carried 5-0). The Jaycees are looking into having a street dance for Huff & Puff Days. The three possible locations are the Fire Dept Parking lot, City Hall parking lot and the Twin Point Parking Lot. The Council indicated their preference was either the City Hall or Fire Dept.'s Parking lot. The staff will research as to what is required and come back to the Council with a recommendation. Lake Elmo VFW Charitable Gambling The Lake Elmo VFW has requested a Resolution by the City approving issuance of their charitable gambling license for 1992. M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to adopt Resolution No. 92-6, A Resolution Approving the Issuance of a Charitable Gambling License by the State of Minnesota to the Lake Elmo Post #5725 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. (Motion carried 5-0).
