LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 2, 1993 6 <br />212.012 COMPOSITION: The HPC shall consist of nine (9) <br />members, two alternate members and shall include, if <br />available, a member of the Washington County Historical <br />Society, <br />212.013 QUALIFICATIONS: Each commission member must be a <br />person with demonstrated interest and expertise in historic <br />preservation and must reside within the City of Lake Elmo <br />with the exception of ex-officio members. <br />212.027 POWERS: To actively promote historical preservation <br />within the City. To establish and maintain liaison with <br />civic, church, and other groups for the purpose of promoting <br />historic preservation. To promote gifting of structures or <br />money to promote the activities involved in historical <br />preservation. <br />M/S/P John/Johnson - to adopt Ordinance 8086, as amended, <br />(212.012 COMPOSITION: HPC consist of five members, two <br />alternate members) amending Sections 201.012, 212.013 and <br />212.027 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code as it relates to the <br />Heritage Preservation Commission. (Motion carried 3-0). <br />D. Recommendations for Appointment to VBWD <br />Three applications have been received for the Valley Branch <br />Watershed District Board of Managers: Barbara Walsh, 8027 <br />50th St. N.; Susan Dunn, 11018 Upper 33rd St. N.; J. Peter <br />Zetterberg, 8018 Hill Trail N. <br />M/S/P Johnston/Johnson - to direct the staff to submit the <br />three applications from Barbara Walsh, Susan Dunn, J. Peter <br />Zetterberg for the Valley Branch Water District; including <br />letters of recommendation, to the Washington County Board <br />with a strong letter of concern that Lake Elmo does not have <br />representation on the VEND and ask the County to carefully <br />consider this when making the appointment. (Motion carried <br />3-0). <br />7. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. Olson Lake Estates Update: <br />Larry Bohrer reported as of last Wednesday the pond level is <br />unchanged and all other conditions have remained the same. <br />Olson Lake is still at its runoff elevation, just beginning <br />to trickle out. The water content in the snow upstream of <br />the Olson Lake Estates pond were to all melt and runoff, the <br />pond would reach an estimated elevation of 961 which is <br />below the lowest home in the area. <br />
