LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 19, 1994 <br />M/S/P Mottaz/John - to ask the Water Surface Use Committee to work, one more time, <br />l on the Surface Water Use Ordinance, come to an agreement, submit a final proposal <br />and the council will communicate their concerns and recommendations to Nancy <br />Hansen and/or Joe Kiesling. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />C. Ordinance 8100-Goetschel Annexation <br />M/S/P John/Mottaz - to adopt ordinance 8100, as amended (Add: WHEREAS the <br />Baytown Township Board resolved in a meeting of July 11, 1994 to support this <br />annexation request. Under Section 1. Determination of Facts move Item (5) up to (2) so <br />there is a reference as to what the Goetschel property means and renumber items. <br />Correct typo in Section 2. Population "...below is two..."), extending the corporate limits <br />of the City of Lake Elmo to include the Goetschel property described in their petition of <br />June 3, 1994 conditioned upon receiving a copy of the minutes related to the Baytown <br />meeting. Further to direct the staff to file certified copies of this ordinance with the <br />Secretary of State , the Washington County Auditor, Baytown Township' Town Clerk, <br />and the Minnesota Municipal Board. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />D. Ordinance 8098 - Sign Ordinance <br />M/S/P John/Johnson - to adopt Ordinance 8098 (sign chart will be added at later date) <br />adopting Section 535 of the Municipal Code and repealing Section 505 based on the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Johnson/John - to adopt the Summary of Ordinance 8098 relating to Signs. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />E. Comp Plan Amendments: Highway 5 Property & Howard & Betty Michels' <br />Property on Stillwater Blvd. <br />Council member Conlin didn't know if it should be up to the PZ, but the Council, to <br />extend boundaries for public hearing notices. This would require an amendment to the <br />code. <br />M/S/P John/Johnson - to approve the Comprehensive Plan Amendment for a future <br />land use designation of RED for the Howard and Betty Michels' property on Stillwater <br />Blvd. conditioned upon approval of minor amendment by the Metropolitan Council. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />M/S/ John/Conlin - to approve a future land use designation of LB of the Highway 5 <br />property (South Highway 5 north of the Chicago North western Railroad tracks between <br />Ideal Avenue and Stillwater Blvd.) conditioned upon minor amendment by the <br />Metropolitan Council <br />
