B. Resolution Appointing Election Judges for June 15 Special Election <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn — to adopt Resolution No. 99-32, A Resolution appointing Election Judges for the <br />June 15, 1999 Special Election. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />6. MAINTENANCE/PARK/FIRE/BUILDING: None <br />7. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: None <br />8. PLANNING. LAND USE & ZONING: <br />A. Set Workshop Date on OP Ordinance <br />The Council set an Open Preservation Ordinance workshop with the Planning Commission on Thursday, <br />June 3, 5:00 p.m. <br />9. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />A. Tim Montgomery:Barrels on site <br />Attorney Filla reported he talked to Tim Montgomery on resolving the clean-up problem of his site on <br />Hudson Blvd. Filla will find a date to meet with him, the City Planner, and Jim McNamara. <br />B. Oak Park Heights Sewer Project <br />Administrator Kueffner indicated that the area proposed to be served by the MPCA Permit is not within the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area. The City Planner spoke to Donald Bluhm, Metropolitan Council staff, <br />who indicated that the Permit should not have been issued until the Metropolitan Council approved an <br />extension to the MUSA. <br />The Council received a letter from Attorney Filla, dated May 18, 1999; indicating the Metropolitan Council <br />mistakenly advised the MPCA that the Oak Park Heights sewer project be within a metropolitan urban <br />service area. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn — to direct the staff to use whatever resources necessary as they see fit in this case. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />10. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />A. Mayor Hunt talked about the computer plan, future networking, AOL access and e-mail for the Fire <br />Dept and Maintenance Dept. This is a good way for the Dept. Heads to communicate with the City <br />Administrator. Planner Dillerud has ordered Intel AnyPoint Home Network for three stations (Jim, Diane, <br />Cindy) on a 60-day trial at no cost (purchase cost is $400). This is part of the computer plan that was <br />approved by the Council. <br />B. Council member DeLapp attended a meeting with Ted Mondale as speaker. He strongly supports <br />city choice and emphasized by saying in a contradictory manner he wants light rail transit and dense <br />housing and business along those nodes. He was authorized by the Governor to do an analysis for the Met <br />Council on the possible effect of a bridge crossing in Stillwater. <br />DeLapp asked that the Council and staff hold a workshop on the need for curbs, cul-de-sacs before there is <br />a 10 member Council. Mayor Hunt will contact the City Administrator regarding setting up a workshop <br />date. <br />C. Council member Dunn received a call from a resident on the maintenance of a common drainfield <br />on 34`1' Street and left and message at City Hall with Jim McNamara and in the General Mailbox.
