A.4 Such dues deductions shall be canceled by the EMPLOYER <br />upon written request by the employee, at which time a <br />fair share fee will be deducted as authorized by law. <br />A.5 The EMPLOYER shall, upon request of the UNION, make <br />available to the UNION a report listing all employees <br />included in the bargaining unit as identified by the <br />article herein titled "Recognition." Such report shall <br />contain the name, classification, pay rate, work unit <br />and mailing address of record. <br />B. The UNION agrees to indemnify and hold the EMPLOYER harmless <br />against any and all claims, suits, orders or judgments <br />brought or issued against the EMPLOYER as a result of any <br />action taken or not taken under the'provisions of this <br />article. <br />C. The UNION may designate certain employees from the <br />bargaining unit to act as stewards and shall, within thirty <br />(30) days of the execution of this AGREEMENT and upon <br />occurrence of any change thereafter, certify to the EMPLOYER <br />a current list of business representatives, officers and <br />stewards who are authorized by the UNION to investigate and <br />present grievances to the EMPLOYER. The EMPLOYER agrees to <br />recognize such representatives for the purpose of <br />investigating and presenting grievances to the EMPLOYER <br />subject to the following stipulations: <br />C.1 Not more than one employee representative (steward or <br />officer) will be authorized time off with pay to <br />investigate or present any one grievance matter to the <br />EMPLOYER. Nothing in this clause is intended to limit <br />the number of UNION stewards who may request to use <br />their own time (vacation, compensatory, or time without <br />pay) to investigate and present grievances. <br />C.2 Employee stewards and officers may leave their work <br />stations with the concurrence of their designated <br />supervisor(s), and they shall notify their designated <br />supervisor(s) upon return to their work stations. <br />Concurrence of the supervisor to leave a workstation <br />for UNION business will be limited to the investigation <br />and presentation of grievances to the EMPLOYER. <br />C.3 One employee representative (steward or officer) of the <br />UNION shall receive paid time off to participate in <br />contract negotiations and meet and confer meetings. <br />5 <br />
