6 through 10 years of service - 4.62 hours per pay period to <br />a maximum of 15 days per year. <br />Employees with more than 10 years of service with the City <br />will accrue an additional .31 hours per pay period for each <br />year of service starting the eleventh (11) year up to twenty <br />(20) years. o 'th more tan <br />V QV <br />Employees hired before April 26, 2016 may carry <br />over twice their annual vacation -earning rate up to 320 <br />hours. <br />VI <br />ANAO <br />Employees hired after tho cto of thi— <br />grocmcntApril 26, 2016 may carry over twice their annual <br />rate of vacation up to 30 day, or 240 hours. Any unused <br />vacation time in excess of this amount will be forfeited <br />unless other provisions are made by the city Administrator. <br />Regular full-time employees must use at least five (5) days <br />of vacation time during each year of City employment. The <br />word "day" implies a nominal eight7hour shift. <br />B. Requests. Vacation time must be requested at least forty- <br />eight (48) hours in advance. Vacation requests must be <br />approved by the city administrator and may be denied in the <br />event of an emergency or if taking a vacation at that time <br />would impair the City's ability to carry out its business. <br />C. Legal Holidays during Vacation. Whenever a legal holiday <br />falls on a working day during an employee's vacation, that <br />holiday will not be counted as a vacation day. <br />D. Any employee leaving the City in good standing shall be <br />compensated for vacation leave accrued and unused to the <br />date of separation. Fifty percent of the vacation leave <br />accrual will be contributed to the health care savings plan <br />upon separation. <br />ARTICLE 15: INSURANCE <br />All regular full and part-time employees may be covered by a <br />group health, dental, life, short-term disability and long-term <br />disability insurance plan as approved, from time to time, by the <br />City Council. A portion of the monthly premium costs of such <br />insurance plan may be paid by the Municipality, such portion to <br />be negotiated by the EMPLOYER and the UNION. The balance of the <br />premium costs shall be paid by the employee. The Employer will <br />also offer a deferred compensation plan. <br />15 <br />
