related regulations, the Union and the Employer will meet <br />_ediately to negotiate alternative provisions. Should the <br />Affordable Care Act and/or changes to the Affordable Care Act and <br />its related regulations cause the Employer to be subject to a <br />penalty, tax, or fine, the Union and the Employer will <br />ediately meet and, upon written mutual agreement of the <br />parties, negotiate alternative provisions. <br />DEFERRED COMPENSATION <br />Should an employee have their primary insurance provided by an <br />outside entity, such as a spouse's employer, the employee may <br />elect for contributions to a deferred compensation fund in an <br />amount based on benefit eligibility. In order to qualify, the <br />employee must provide proof of insurance. Each month, the <br />Employer shall pay into full time employees' deferred <br />compensation funds an amount equal to the cost provided for group <br />insurance as described in Article 15. Part time employees' <br />deferred compensation will be proportional to their benefit <br />eligibility. <br />At no time can the cost to the Employer for group insurance plus <br />deferred compensation exceed the maximum insurance contribution <br />defined in Article 15. <br />ARTICLE 16: WAGES <br />Step System: Employees shall receive a one step increase at 6 <br />months, and another step at the anniversary of their first year <br />of employment. Employees will receive a one increment increase <br />annually thereafter upon the anniversary of their hire up to the <br />5th step. <br />20168 Pay Increase: Employees shall receive a 3% pay increase <br />effective January 1, 201-68. <br />20149 Pay Increase: Employees shall receive a 3% pay increase <br />effective January 1, 20149. <br />2020 Pay Increase: Employees shall receive a pay increase <br />effective January 1, 2020. <br />ARTICLE 17: AUTO -ALLOWANCE <br />Employees authorized to use their personal vehicles on City <br />business will be reimbursed for vehicle expenses at rates set <br />under federal guidelines. <br />17 <br />
